🍌 The Best Banana Bread πŸŒ

It’s that time of year again when I’m craving comfort foods and for me that means a good loaf of banana bread. Β Here’s my recipe for the best banana bread!

You Will Need:

  • 1 Cup Of Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 Ripe Bananas
  • 1/3 Cup Of Butter
  • 1.5 Cups Of Plain Flour
  • Β Salt
  • Vanilla Flavouring
  • Baking Soda
  • Loaf Tin

Start by measuring your ingredients then preheating the oven to 175Β°C. Next grease the loaf tin with a small amount of butter by placing the butter on a paper towel and wiping it round the sides of the tin.

Peel your bananas before placing them in a bowl and mashing them up using a fork.

Place your butter in the microwave for sixty seconds then pour it in with the mashed bananas and mix together. Now add a teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt. Make sure these are mixed in well too.

Beat the egg with a fork in a separate bowl.

Now add your sugar and vanilla flavouring, followed by the egg to the main bowl, continually mixing it all – if you’re doing it by hand like I was your arms probably getting a really good workout right about now!

Add in the flour a bit at a time until it’s all in and well mixed so there are no lumps.

If you want to add anything extra in, for example, chocolate chips or walnuts – now is the time to do it.

Carefully pour the mixture into your greased loaf tin and smooth the top over with a spatula. Place it in the oven for about fifty minutes or so until a skewer can be poked in the middle and comes out clean. The cooking time will vary depending on your ovens efficiency so I would check five minutes either side.

Once done take it out the oven and leave it to cool completely on a wire rack.

Then there you have it – the best banana bread. Enjoy!
