I can’t believe there are only four days till I go back to college. Oh my goodness! Where did my Summer go? To prepare for the new term I went out and did a little back to school shopping. It’s not a huge haul but I thought I’d share anyway.
I picked up three simple but functional notebooks to jot down my class work in, I actually chose the simple designs as I figured I could cover them in any pattern I like. All you really need in life is some pretty paper and a glue stick! Which is why I picked up a pack of five mini pritt sticks, they’re small enough to fit in my pencil case yet should last long enough to get through quite a few of my projects.
Next I moved onto pens, I got a pack of plain black pens, and a pack containing a red, blue and a black for when I want to make my notes stand out more or need to do some peer marking. A first time purchase for me this year were some erasable pens too, last year I noticed more and more people in my classes handing in such neat essays. I was bemused, all my essays were full of scribbled out mistakes and smudges! Then I discovered that the secret was erasable pens, I can’t wait to try them out and let you all know if they really are any good. Two brands were available so I picked up both for comparison.
For personal projects as opposed to actual school work I picked up a new paint palette and a pack of brush pens – which I will be reviewing later. I’ve got really interested in graphic design recently and the brush pens are for improving my first designs in my sketchbooks.
On a side note an adorable scarf grabbed my attention and I just had to have it so it’s weaselled it’s way into my collection, along with a new pair of shoes. Oops! At least I’m stocked up for school, plus, really I’m going to need cute outfits to wear everyday – so the scarf and the shoes are an investment just as much as the pens. Aren’t they?
