Cheesy Cheddar Sticks

Mmm cheese, mmm melted cheese.

Today’s recipe is for these amazingly gooey and mouth-wateringly tasty cheesy cheddar sticks. They are super simple and perfect for satisfying junk food cravings without being too bad for you.

You will need:

  • 1 Egg
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Breadcrumbs

Heat the oven to 220°C/425°F

Take your cheese and cut it into small rectangular blocks then place these to the side and crack then lightly beat your egg.

Once you have done this use a pastry brush to coat the blocks of cheese with egg, then pour breadcrumbs over them until they are lightly coated. In order not to waste breadcrumbs make sure you gather the ones that miss and pour them over again.

Place your coated cheese sticks in the freezer for fifteen minutes so that the cheese doesn’t melt quicker than the breadcrumbs brown.

Once chilled place them in the oven on foil for six minutes before turning them over and cooking for a further six minutes.

Voila you have perfectly gooey cheddar cheese sticks. Serve with mustard or a dip of your choice.
