Carrot cake is amazing, I love it and always have since I was a child. Today I’m going to be sharing with you how I cheat at making the tastiest carrot cake you will ever have – using a bread machine!
You will need:
- 500g carrot cake mix
- 60ml oil
- 200ml water
- Cream cheese icing
The first thing you need to do is pour the oil and water into your bread machine baking pan. Then pour in the cake mix last.
Now select the cake programme on the bread machine, close it and press start. What else do I need to do? You ask. Nothing, at least not for the next three hours – go out and enjoy the sunshine whilst your cake bakes. If your bread machine doesn’t have a cake programme you can mix everything using the dough mixing option and then bake using the dough baking option. Do not open the lid at any point during the cake baking stage!
Once your cake has finished cooking allow it to rest in the machine for 15 minutes before taking it out and leaving it for a further 15. Once you have left it to rest you can tip it out of the pan.
I wish I could drop the smell in along with the images because the scent of this cake is heavenly. Now before it can be iced it obviously needs to be left to cool – hence why it’s on the wire rack.
