Productivity Pact | Day 23 | Frame Upcycle

We all have photos lying around that are just waiting to be framed but quite frankly the frames you can get for them are just plain boring so with a bit of paint and washi tape it’s time to make them fit your style!

All you need for this DIY is a frame, some washi tape, paint and a brush.

The first thing you need to do is unclip any photos or pieces of paper from the frame, then lay it on a surface that you have covered with something i.e a piece of cardboard.

Next take your washi tape and place it in diagonal lines across the frame; make sure it is stuck down well and that you go right over the edges. Then take your brush and paint over the entire frame with several thin coats. Before leaving it to dry carefully peel off the washi tape to reveal your design.

Leave it to dry, then come back and clean up any excess paint with some paint remover and a cotton bud. Once this is done place your photo back in the frame and you have a great piece for your room!
