Productivity Pact | Day 19 | Smoothie Recipe

Everybody knows that feeling where you get up and you just can’t bring yourself to eat a bowl of cereal or munch your way through a slice of dry toast, which is why smoothies can be a great alternative. They are healthy and there are thousands of combinations for them – the best part is you just throw all the ingredients in and you’re ready to go. Today I’m sharing my go to recipe.

You will need:

  • A Smoothie maker/Blender
  • 3-4 strawberries
  • Handful of raspberries
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 1 medium banana
  • 300ml milk
  • 100ml Coconut milk*
  • 1-2 tbsp flax-seed*
  • 1 tbsp low fat peanut butter*
  • 1 heaped tbsp medium ground oatmeal*
  • Dollop of Greek style/natural yogurt*

All ingredients with a star by them are optional but I suggest you use at least one or two of them as they thicken the shake.

Start by putting both the milks in, then yogurt if you are using it – followed by the fruit and then any of the optional extras. Simply blend it until you have the desired consistency, the time this takes will vary depending on how good your blender is. I really love our Breville (no affiliate link just love!) as it only has one button on the front so it’s really simple to use, you also attach the smoothie bottles directly to it and blend in them – meaning they are ready to go in an instant and there is minimum washing-up required.

Pictured above are the smoothie maker itself and also one of the half-sized bottles, the machine also came with the full sized 600ml bottles which is what the recipe above is for. If you are using the smaller 300ml bottles simply half everything and do exactly the same.

Once you are done you are ready to enjoy a healthy breakfast on the go!

Have a great day x
