Productivity Pact | Day 13 | Varnish Keys

I am so sorry this post is a day late but yesterday I was up at 3am to go on holiday and I was just way too tired to even queue a post!

Anyway so apologies over lets get on with todays (okay yesterdays) productive activity.

Keys. We all have them. We all need them. But honestly if you have more than one it can get really confusing as to which is for which door or whos house, so to make life just that little bit easier and inject some colour into your everyday activities, why not paint your keys?

Not only does it make them look better, it also makes them easier to find, recognize and use. All you need for this DIY is your keys and some nail varnish.

Just pick a colour or a few colors to design your very own pattern- this is one of those DIYs where you can be as creative as you like.

We enjoyed trying different effects such as splattering, dotting and mixing. You will have to do a few coats of your base layer first though as you can see below the varnish can be pretty see through to start with.

Once we had added more coats and our desired patterns – including some glitter, we left them to dry by standing them up in two foam nail separators.

They came out really well!

To help with identification even more you can go one step further and grab a nail pen to write on the name of the key or which door it opens.

I’ll be back later with todays post to bring us up to date. x
